Welcome to Emerald Heart Flying!

Your source for inspirational fabric mandalas and note cards

Here you’ll find an assortment of fabric mandalas lovingly handcrafted in Seattle and designed to inspire you.  The mandalas are unique 3-dimensional pieces made from new and vintage fabric, buttons, beads, trims and found objects.  The note cards are photographs of the mandalas and are also miniature works of art suitable for framing.

What is a Mandala?

Mandala is a Sanskrit word meaning “circle.”  It is a representation of the universe, both inner and outer, a symbol of wholeness.  As a labyrinth can take you in and out of yourself, so too can these images. Mandalas have been used in a variety of forms and cultures for centuries.  Learn more under “About Mandalas.”

What makes these unique?

No where else will you find 3-dimensional fabric mandalas like these.  Each piece is made with an intention, choice of focal point and color all with a vibrational frequency that resonates with the viewer.

Why would I want one?

There are many benefits of mandalas, either creating them yourself, exploring them in the world around you or getting one here.

  • Simply as beautiful pieces of art
    •  Sources of calm and inspiration
      • Tools for personal development
